With a primary focus on Custom Homes and Planned Communities, Calvin R. Cline founded CM2 Design Associates, Inc with a philosophy that is based on experience and the belief that a client deserves the same attention and impeccable quality no matter what the scale of their project.

Centrally located between Fort Worth and Dallas in Arlington Texas, CM2 Design Associates works with clients and builders to understand their needs and take into account the existing environmental surroundings. This allows us to create a cohesive partnership that results in an aesthetically pleasing design for the client and community.

Calvin started his career with Atlanta, Georgia based Design Traditions / Stephen Fuller in 1987. For nearly twelve years, he was involved in the design of some of the most influential, high-end residences and projects across the country. These projects would change the way people thought about design. “No one was doing what Steve was, He set the standard for presentation and fulfillment of these custom projects”

In the spring of 1999 Calvin and Roger Caldwell a friend and Architect started Caldwell-Cline Architects and Designers; which soon became one of the most respected and sought-after firms in the Southeast. Specializing in high-end residential homes as well as complete community design to include Golf and Amenity clubhouses, the firm has received numerous awards for design excellence. A solid relationship with Southern Living Magazine gave the firm national exposure through the design and distribution of Idea Houses and portfolio collections.

In 2009 Calvin moved his family to his wife’s hometown of Arlington, Texas. “It was the toughest decision I ever made, but I wanted my children to experience what I did growing up in Virginia….and that is close ties to family!”

With over 20 years experience in all aspects of design and construction types, Calvin has started CM2 Design Associates with the same principles that were instilled in his previous firms. An Associate member of the American institute of Architects (AIA) and member of the American Institute of Building Designers (AIBD) Calvin is committed to a level of quality that the client deserves with the attention to detail that will make their project a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing addition to its surroundings.
